About

Practical tools. Original art. Built to be used.

H. Doucette Studio is an independent design studio creating practical business tools, original artwork, and thoughtfully designed resources for people who make, grow, sell, and create.

The Studio began with a simple observation: many small-business owners are exceptionally good at their craft, but the business side of that work can feel unnecessarily complicated. Pricing, planning, inventory, marketing, market preparation, and growth often require systems that were never designed with makers or very small businesses in mind.

H. Doucette Studio exists to make that work clearer.

Every product begins with a real need. It might be a better way to prepare for a farmers market, understand product costs, organize a growing catalog, plan a new income stream, or present a business more professionally. That need is then developed into a resource that is useful, understandable, visually considered, and ready to become part of someone's actual working process.

These are not generic printables created simply to fill a page. They are complete tools and connected systems designed to help turn ideas into decisions—and decisions into action.

Designed for independent businesses

The Studio serves makers, market vendors, homesteaders, growers, artists, cottage-food businesses, small farms, and creative entrepreneurs.

They may work from a studio, kitchen, workshop, garden, spare room, market booth, or kitchen table. Their businesses may be new, seasonal, growing slowly, or changing direction. What they share is a desire to build something of their own—and to do it with greater clarity and confidence.

H. Doucette Studio creates resources for the part of the business that customers rarely see but owners manage every day:

  • Deciding what to sell
  • Understanding costs and profitability
  • Planning production
  • Organizing inventory
  • Preparing for markets
  • Presenting products professionally
  • Building a recognizable brand
  • Creating repeatable business systems
  • Growing without creating unnecessary chaos

The goal is not to make a small business feel corporate. It is to give independent owners the structure they need while protecting the originality, flexibility, and personal character that made them begin.

Where usefulness and design meet

A practical tool should not have to look dull. A beautiful product should not be difficult to use.

H. Doucette Studio brings those two ideas together.

Clear hierarchy, thoughtful organization, bold color, modern typography, and original geometric graphics are used to make complex information easier to navigate. Every visual decision should support the product's purpose—not compete with it.

The result is work that feels distinctive but approachable, professional but not impersonal, and polished without becoming precious.

Because the best-designed tool is the one someone can understand, trust, and put to work.

Created to grow with you

A business does not need every possible system on its first day. It needs the right system for its current stage.

That is why H. Doucette Studio products are designed to work individually and as parts of a larger library. A vendor might begin with a market checklist, add a pricing calculator, and later move into a complete business kit. A homesteader might start by evaluating possible income ideas, then build a seasonal production and sales system around the opportunities that are genuinely worthwhile.

Each resource should make the next step clearer.

The Studio's purpose is not to tell people there is only one correct way to build a business. It is to give them the structure, information, and creative tools they need to make better decisions for the business they actually want.

About the founder

H. Doucette Studio was founded by designer and creative business owner Heather Doucette.

Her work brings together design, marketing, photography, product development, and firsthand experience with the realities of running a small product-based business. That combination shapes the Studio's approach: creative ideas are important, but they become more valuable when they are supported by practical systems.

Every product is created with respect for the person who will use it—the maker balancing production with marketing, the vendor preparing for another market day, the homesteader deciding which ideas are worth pursuing, and the small-business owner learning as they build.

H. Doucette Studio is for those people.
For the independent thinkers.
For the hands-on learners.
For the people building something useful, original, and entirely their own.
