This page explains the standard license included with every H. Doucette Studio purchase. It's a plain-English summary, not a substitute for legal advice — if you have a use case that isn't covered here, email heather@hdoucette.com before you buy and we'll confirm in writing.
What you can do
When you purchase a product from H. Doucette Studio, you receive a non-exclusive license to use the artwork in your own finished projects and products — for example, printed materials, packaging, social media graphics, physical products you make and sell, and client work, whether for personal or commercial use, with no limit on the number of end products you sell.
What you can't do
- Resell, redistribute, or share the purchased files as-is, whether for free or for payment (for example, uploading them to another marketplace, template shop, or clipart bundle).
- Claim the original artwork itself as your own design work or register it for trademark or copyright in your own name.
- Use the files in any way that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
What you own
Purchasing a product gives you a license to use it — it does not transfer ownership or copyright of the artwork. H. Doucette Studio / Heather Doucette retains copyright of all original artwork, patterns, and design assets sold through this site.
Source files
Editable AI/EPS source files are included so you can resize, recolor, or adapt the artwork for your own projects. These source files are for your use in producing your own end products — they are not to be redistributed on their own, even if modified.
