How the research was done

Prices come from 12 to 21 real products per category from independent US makers. Material costs are worked examples priced from named suppliers. Rules come from FDA, CPSC, FTC, state agencies, and university extension pages. Every figure was independently checked, and anything we could not confirm is marked "Not confirmed" instead of guessed.

Who it is for

New and aspiring makers, farmers market and craft fair vendors, homesteaders, and anyone deciding which handmade product to start selling.
